Realitives In Pelham

The Page's Webmaster: HEY JEFF and FAMILY

This is Smitty Smith, the wonderful, wise Webmaster. On top of my slave-driving job as a gad about, I pretty much take care of this entire site: the design, the content, the updates, the family research--everything. (Okay, my wife PHYLLIS helps just a very little bit too. And of course the LDS lady who went to PELHAM Cemetary and confirmed that my Grandfather Newton Powell was indeed buried there.
Then she located other POWELLS there. Two of whom, it turned out, were My Great GrandParents). WELL at least I type the entries.

Pelham Cemetery, Shelby Co., AL.

Are we related? My Grandparents and gGrandparents are buried at Pelham Cemetery.
There are a number of POWELL's there, related or not, here is a partial list;

If we've left anyone write and let us know. Have just today gotten copies of Jason and Arminta
from the census
..all the Powells at the pelham cemetery are children and grandchildren.
they had 12 children and were mostly likely married in Dale county about 1865
...all the records in that county were destroyed by fire in the 1880s so a marriage record is not possible
...however the 1910 census say they were married 45 years and arminda was living in dale co at that time.
have not been able to find them yet in 1870 but have 1850, 1860,1880, 1900 and 1910.
...do you know of any family pictures? betty
